Crew You Productions provides comprehensive stills and video production, location scouting, and casting for domestic and international projects.
Founded by Mary Zeeble in 1998 we offer every aspect of production, from creative consultation and interpretation of briefs to understanding the specific mechanics of each shoot in locations worldwide. With advanced coordination and management skills, not to mention intuition, charm, and great red wine, we create an atmosphere in which your images effortlessly come to life. Using humor, poise and diplomacy, we run a tight ship with a loose vibe and manage your job from start to finish: pre-production, on set, and through the wrap. We love to produce stills, video, or both at the same time (the more the merrier) and do the scouting and casting, keeping it all under one umbrella when possible. We’re based in San Francisco and Los Angeles and have worked in nearly all 50 states and every continent.
Production
We pride ourselves on seamlessly and confidently running the show: creating realistic estimates, maintaining the budget, staying on schedule, providing detailed production books, managing the crew, locations, and client expectations. We’ve produced on offshore oil rigs, shipyards, factories, ranches, homes, parks, urban cities, unfinished skyscrapers, athletic arenas, live events, racetracks, offices, hospitals, churches and know how work fluidly in all situations and adept at managing inevitable last minute changes. Safety is paramount, even before Covid-19, and we have many protocols in place to assure a safe workplace for all.
Locations & Permits
We are extremely experienced, resourceful scouts and can find any location you desire. We specialize in research and have an elaborate network of contacts around the globe to help us uncover your perfect location. Whether you require a freshly scouted location for up to the minute images, or want to utilize our extensive location library that encompasses just about everything, we’ve got you covered. Permits, police coordination, road closures, street parking postings are a cinch. Hey, we know all the right people and are great at getting people to say "YES"!.
Casting
We love doing casting, whether studio stills & video, file pulls, or a combo of both. We offer both agency and real people castings with quick turnarounds, in most cases posted online the same day. Our great relationships with agencies ensures you optimal availability along with the best rates for sessions and usage. From finding a real family of four, to quirky and unusual talent to authentic ethnicities, we always have fabulous options.
Art Buying
We do custom presentations of multiple creators who can bring your assets to life and have assisted countless clients in finding the right photographers and directors for their projects. We love to research and find the best options for you that are both a great fit for your creative needs and work within the budget.
Crew & Equipment
Knowing the right crew for any given job is a specialty. We always book reliable, friendly, and super talented people: DP’s, drone operators, digital techs, photo assistants, wardrobe stylists, props, set design/fabricators, hair & makeup, grips, teachers, special effects, precision drivers, motorhomes, animal wranglers, you name it. We rent all special equipment imaginable: camera gear, grip & lighting, generators, walkie’s, traffic cones, tents, steamers, water trucks, cherry pickers, vans, sidecars, camera boats, helicopters, picture cars, and special effects gear. We can also arrange for specialty vehicles outfitted to store and transport all equipment.
